You're hiring a specific person; a professional. Not 'grocery delivery' where you don't know who is doing what or who that person is.
Your shopper is shopping for you and will stay in communication with you throughout the shop, if you wish.
No hidden fees. No corporate politics, corruption or labor abuse. It's just you and your shopper... using a smartphone and/or app.
Trainer Jo started personal shopping in 2012 for her wealthy personal training clients who did not want to deal shopping for fitness based diets. Upon moving to Florida summer of 2018, as a part time gig, she partnered with Instacart for grocery delivery in Hillsborough County, thus getting very familiar with the local grocery store layouts & inventory.
Due to the COVID-19, she has expanded her services to members of the SouthShores community who are unable to leave home to shop for themselves. Jo uses the Dumpling app to access the store's inventories but also offers traditional written lists.
Josephine uses the Dumpling app to conduct shops. It is not directly connected to the stores' inventories but is updated frequently to reflect what most likely will be available. Prices & items are always subject to change.
Your cost per item is what the store actually charges. You will receive the store receipt as proof. Nothing hidden! Full transparency. Please note that prices in the app are guesstimations based on recent prices. They are always subject to change and Dumpling does its best to keep up.
This is what you pay for you to use the Dumpling app. It goes to them to pay for costs to keep the app functional. Shopper also pays a fee to use the app. These fees go to keep the app functioning. 3% goes to credit card processing and 2% goes to Dumpling itself.
Consider this fee as what your shopper uses to pay for her use of the app and for vehicle gas/wear&tear
Technically, this is what you actually pay your shopper. Although it should be called a service fee, it is variable and the minimum is set by your shopper to reflect what she wants to charge for the service of shopping for you. I hope this clarifies this well.
No app. Just write down what you want, shopper will keep you informed on everything.

Items over 20-lbs
(ex; 1 40-lb bag cat food is a $2 heavy fee)
Your cost to hire shopper based on hours rather than the cost of the groceries. In 15 minute increments.
Based on miles to store then to drop-off outside 10 mile radius
